Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a dynamic, effective way to care for your body. FST targets fascia, the most prevalent connective tissue in the body, and supports every aspect of movement — muscles, tendons, organs, ligaments, and nerves. FST can increase flexibility, reduce aches and pains, and improve range of motion. Overall, FST is a practice that encourages fluidity in movement for all clients.

FST is a one-on-one session between the therapist and the client. Sessions are performed on a massage table where the client remains relaxed and the therapist assists in stretching the client’s entire fascial system. Unlike the stretching that occurs in yoga and other dynamic stretching modalities, where certain muscles have to remain active in order to stretch opposing muscle groups, the stretch that occurs during an FST session is under a fully relaxed body, aiding in a deeper stretch and tuning in with the parasympathetic nervous system. FST is incredibly gentle, and sessions are pain free. It can aid in faster recovery from injury by improving blood flow to muscles, and for the same reason may result in improved athletic performance.
